Stuart Basseches Stuart is an architect and has been a partner at Biproduct since 1998, when he co-founded the office with graphic designer Judith Hudson. Their work ranges from architecture, interiors, furniture and lighting to graphic design, and focuses on sustainability. Stuart’s work has received a Colbert Foundation Grant for Emerging Artists, several Good Design Awards, an IDEA award, an Interior Design award and the winning commission for the San Jose Veterans Memorial. Stuart received his Bachelor of Science in Art + Design from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1982 and his Master of Architecture from Yale University in 1987. He is interested in incorporating sustainable materials and technologies into his newest projects, including ground-up residential buildings and the renovation of historic landmarks.
Michael Gresty Michael is a managing principal at ALTANOVA Energy+Sustainability, a strategic consulting firm based in New York. He has worked extensively as an advisor on sustainability to executives at leading companies, academic and scientific institutions and real estate developers. A high performance building design expert, he has worked on numerous LEED projects and is a frequent speaker on sustainability and related topics at industry conferences and events. Michael previously worked on large infrastructure and design projects in the USA and France, and on development of civil engineering design software in South Africa. He received his Architecte DPLG from the École d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville and also holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Cape Town. Michael is interested in the origins of sustainable design in the utopian and utilitarian projects of modernism.
